If you missed our September quarterly meeting on September 19, here is a brief overview:
We began with a brief business meeting that included announcing 3 new members of the chapter, bringing our membership to 67. We also took a moment to recognize Dan Doyle on his 5-year anniversary with CFMA. Dan was not able to join us at the meeting, but we thank him for his ongoing service for CFMA! We also made note that CFMA's 12 Plus Program is underway, which allows new members joining now to pay dues for just 12 months and receive membership through March 31, 2020. Finally, we did an overview of CFMA's peer group program, which is a newer offering available through CFMA national. Check out additional information attached here: CFMA_Peer_Group_Program.pd
Our first speaker was Bryn Schoening of SilverStone Group. She spoke to the attendees on FMLA requirements and best practices. She was also willing to share a number of excellent resources that are available on the Library page of our website. Check those out here
and share them with your HR team.
Our second speaker was Angela Lammers of Cetera Services. She presented on Strategies for Organizational Change and engaged attendees in small group planning around actual changes occurring in their organizations. She emphasized taking immediate and long term steps to ensure your organizational changes are changes that align, clarify, and achieve!
Finally, before enjoying a time of networking and refreshments, we welcomed Josh Hall of CTE Academy. We were again able to provide a gift to CTE Academy from the proceeds of our industry builder golf tournament this year, and it was great to have Josh provide a brief update on the construction programs at CTE.
