If you missed, you were in the minority! Our March quarterly meeting was extremely well attended, with many members and guests in attendance. We were pleased to have two excellent presentations and enjoyed a networking lunch following the meeting.
Our first presentation of the morning was on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 with representatives from ELO Prof, LLC presenting. Pam Olinger, Matt Buenzow, and Megan Oeltjenbruns provided an overview of the act, including the changes for individuals, estates/gifts, and businesses. The slides of their presentation are available in the Library page of our website.
After a break with drinks and cookies, we had the opportunity to hear an update on the economy by Daren Pladson and Ryan Weigel of Eide Bailly. They shared their perspective on the future of the economy, covering unemployment, inflation, the Fed, manufacturing expectations, and more!
At this quarterly meeting, we also voted on new officers for the chapter board, and are excited to announce that Arin Knudtson is our new chapter President! We look forward to her leadership over the next two years, and are confident she will do excellent work for the chapter and for CFMA. We also thank Cindy Cosand for her service as President of the chapter over the past two years!
Finally, we encourage you to check out, and sign up for, our upcoming April educational event. We are excited to bring in two past CFMA National Chairs to present on the topic of Practical Leadership Strategies for the Emerging CFM. Come join us for this great event!
